here and now
no longer am I chasing happiness
nor am I playing to outer validation
no longer am I slave to expectation
no longer am I asking you
to take away distress
no longer am I running from discomfort
or hiding from my pain
holding space for inner turmoil
and listening to intensity
without the urge to fix
what isn’t broken
with curiosity
and tender presence,
I trust in what I feel
of my being – a quiet unfolding
in the here and now
