with my tears long dry
I am taking my time
saying good-bye
to beautiful memories
of our souls at ease
to devotion and inspiration
breathing out
and letting go
of love once given freely
no longer mirrored in your eyes
no longer reflected
in your heart
no longer desired by
our frightened shadows
seeking peace in
unbinding
what tied us
before our time
my love not lost
merely returning home
and living on
in new beginnings
