when the wind talks

when the wind talks

whipping up a storm

my breath is taken

my thoughts are paused

the rustling leaves

in an ocean of trees

share forgotten memories

when the wind talks

whipping up a storm

gasping for air

cries of desperation

die in my throat

past sorrows loosen

blowing cobwebs from my mind

when the wind talks

filling my sails

guiding me in unchartered waters

stillness settles inside

my centre

calm and undisturbed

when the wind talks,

it sings of love

my heart listens,

and my tears remember
